Omiya Park cherry blossoms 2021
One of Japan’s Top 100 Cherry Blossom Viewing Sites
Omiya Park, easy to access from Tokyo, is designated as one of Japan’s Top 100 Cherry Blossom Viewing Sites.
I visited Omiya Park, so I’m going to write about the state of the park on 26th March 2021.
The picture is as of 26th March 2021.
It is written that Omiya Park is one of Japan’s Top 100 Cherry Blossom Viewing Sites.
Almost full bloom
The cherry blossoms are almost in full bloom, and it is a good time to see the cherry blossoms.
I took a picture of the cherry blossoms closely.
There is a large pond in the park.
State of the park
It is Friday, but there are more people who come to see the cherry blossoms.
In the usual year, street stalls are open and you can enjoy cherry blossom viewing without bringing anything.
However, they are not open this year. Only the light meal shop is open.
This is a Miso-Oden I bought at the light meal shop.
In the usual year, the cherry blossoms are lit up at night and are crowded with many people, but that is also canceled.
This year, a cautionary note has been issued not to hold banquets by using picnic blanket in the park.
On a clear day, the cherry blossoms look more beautiful.
It’s a short period, but you can enjoy the cherry blossoms a little more.
Access
About 20 minutes on foot from JR Omiya Station.
To Omiya Station, take the JR Takasaki Line or JR Utsunomiya Line for about 33 minutes from Tokyo Station.
