Tokyo 2020 Olympics started

Tokyo 2020 Olympic

Tokyo 2020 Olympics started 23rd July.
Under the Covid-19 pandemic, it is held without spectators, with some exceptions.
Soccer game in Miyagi and cycling road race at Fuji international Speedway in Shizuoka will be held with spectators.

Since the cycling road race runs on public roads as well, there was news that many people gathered along the road.
It is natural to want to watch them, if they run nearby.

The torch stand is set up in Tokyo Odaiba, but it is not accessible so that people do not gather.
Even though it is held without spectators, once the Olympics started, certain number of people gathered outside the venue to feel the atmosphere of the Olympics.

It is the Marunouchi side of Tokyo Station on July 15th, before the Olympics begin.
There was no excitement before the Olympics, and the atmosphere was the same as usual except for being placed the countdown clock.

Tokyo Station

The station front was renovated a few years ago.
The lawn is very beautiful.
When thing get back normal, please come to Tokyo.

Many Japanese have been against hosting the Olympics this time.
I wish it was held when we could enjoy it more.
It’s a pity that I can’t see the torch even though it’s the Olympic Games in Tokyo.

Now, the number of Covid-19 infected people is increasing in Japan, including Tokyo.
It looks that the worries of those who oppose the Olympics are about to become a reality.
I just hope that the Olympics will not make the infection status worse.
